Sweida, April 5 (SANA) – Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakour met Sunday with a delegation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to discuss strengthening humanitarian coordination and improving relief efforts in the province.
The delegation included the head of the UNHCR office in Sweida and the agency’s coordinator for southern Syria. Talks focused on enhancing joint coordination and unifying relief efforts to better respond to the needs of affected and host families.
According to the Sweida governorate’s official Telegram page, the meeting reviewed mechanisms for distributing humanitarian assistance and identifying priority needs based on the latest field assessments.
In a related development, Governor al-Bakour met UNHCR representatives on February 5 to discuss implementing development projects in the town of al-Mazra’a and several villages across the province.
