Quneitra, Apr.4 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces advanced penetrated on Saturday evening into the town of Jabatha al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra.
SANA’s correspondent in Quneitra reported that a force comprising two military vehicles entered the town and set up a temporary checkpoint at its eastern entrance.
The correspondent added that the force continued its movement towards the village of Ofania, where it set up another temporary checkpoint at the junction of al-Hurriya village in the northern countryside, before later withdrawing from the area.
Earlier in the day, Israeli occupation forces had carried out similar incursions along the road linking the village of Tranja and Jabatha al-Khashab, as well as into the village of Ruwayhina in the northern countryside, where they detained a shepherd before releasing him later.
Israel continues to violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, in addition to raids, arrests, and land bulldozing.
Syria has consistently called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, reiterating that all measures taken in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law.
