Damascus, March 29 (SANA) – Syria’s Defense Ministry advisory body held its first meeting on Sunday under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Murhaf Abu Qasra to discuss its working mechanisms and key tasks.
According to the Defense Ministry, the advisory body aims to support efforts to rebuild the Syrian Arab Army on solid foundations by providing specialized assessments, studies and recommendations to assist decision-making.
Abu Qasra said strengthening strategic vision is essential for addressing challenges and opportunities facing the army during the current phase.
He noted that the advisory body will serve as a national framework supporting the ministry’s work by contributing expert advice and proposals aimed at unifying efforts and advancing the development of the Syrian Arab Army in the coming period.
