Daraa, March 28 (SANA) Syrian anti-drug authorities have seized and dismantled a drug packaging machine and confiscated a large shipment of narcotics during a targeted operation in the Daraa countryside, southwestern Syria.
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Telegram that the operation followed intensive intelligence monitoring and close tracking of smugglers’ movements. Forces raided the site and confiscated approximately one million Captagon pills, which were stored and prepared for smuggling abroad.

Two individuals were arrested during the raid. Authorities have begun legal proceedings against them while investigations continue to uncover the full scope of the criminal network.
The ministry emphasized its commitment to combating drug trafficking, disrupting smuggling routes, and eliminating sources of narcotics to safeguard public security and stability.
