Tartous, March 24 (SANA)The Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC) announced on Tuesday the successful completion of the unloading process for the gas tanker “PREMIER,” which carried a cargo exceeding 2,324 metric tons. The shipment was delivered to the maritime terminal at Banyas Port as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to ensure a steady energy supply.
A specialized source at the SPC told SANA that technical mooring teams initiated the connection of the “PREMIER” and successfully transferred the entire shipment into the storage tanks of the Banyas Gas Department after completing all necessary technical and safety protocols.
The source further revealed that additional gas tankers are currently anchored at the port, awaiting their turn to discharge with capacity of nearly 11.000 metric tons.
This influx of supplies follows the successful unloading on Monday of the tanker “GAS MILANO,” which delivered 2,705 metric tons of gas. These consecutive arrivals are part of an integrated plan by the Ministry of Energy and the SPC to bolster national strategic reserves and maintain the availability of household gas across all Syrian provinces, especially as the country continues its economic recovery and stabilization of the energy sector.
