Damascus, Mar.16 (SANA) Syrian Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat discussed Monday with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) representative in Syria Enshrah Ahmed ways to expand joint cooperation in the fields of humanitarian support assistance and social protection services.
During the meeting held at the ministry’s headquarters in Damascus, both sides reviewed programs aimed at empowering families and the most vulnerable groups.
The talks also addressed mechanisms to develop joint initiatives and expand the scope of services provided, with the aim of enhancing social protection and improving responses to community needs.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, in cooperation with UNFPA, had previously organized the campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence – Safety Everywhere” late last year. The initiative ran from November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to December 10, Human Rights Day.
