Damascus, Mar.10 (SANA) Ministry of Interior announced that the Internal Security Command in Lattakia province has concluded the case of Qashba village massacre in the al-Haffeh area, which occurred on the morning of Eid al-Fitr in 2013, following an extensive investigations and sustained security monitoring.

In a statement published Tuesday, the ministry said that investigations have identified those responsible for the attack, indicating that the crime was perpetrated under the direct orders of Suhail al-Hassan and Hilal al-Assad, describing them as among the perpetrators of one of the most heinous crimes committed against civilians.

Authorities also disclosed the detention of 15 members of the National Defense Militia, whose direct involvement in the massacre has been confirmed by investigators.

According to the statement, the massacre claimed dozens of unarmed civilians, including women and children.

The ministry added that the arrests represent a pivotal step in the legal pursuit of those responsible for war crimes and in restoring justice for the victims’ families, reaffirming the state’s commitment to the rule of law and the protection of Syrian lives.
