Quneitra, March 5 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained two Syrian minors on Thursday in the village of al-Asha in the southern countryside of Quneitra province.
A SANA reporter in Quneitra said the occupation forces arrested the two children while they were herding livestock near Tell al-Ahmar al-Gharbi, before taking them to a military post in the area.
The incident comes just days after Israeli forces detained a young man while he was herding sheep west of the village of al-Asbah, also in southern Quneitra. He was reportedly taken to the occupied territories, and no information has been released about his whereabouts.
Israel continues its violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria, carrying out raids, arrests, and bulldozing agricultural land.
Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus also calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities and put an end to the occupation’s practices.
