Damascus, March 4 (SANA) The Syrian Arab Army said it had reinforced its deployment along Syria’s borders with Lebanon and Iraq.
The Army Operations Command said the move aims to secure and monitor the frontier amid escalating regional tensions.
It added that the deployment includes border guard units and reconnaissance battalions tasked with monitoring cross-border activity and combating smuggling.
The region has witnessed a series of U.S. and Israeli strikes on sites inside Iran since Saturday. Tehran has also intensified attacks on several Arab countries, while Israel has launched heavy airstrikes on parts of Lebanon, killing dozens.
