Sweida, Feb. 28 (SANA) The death toll rose to five people, and a number of others were injured, as a result of the explosion of a missile left over from the deposed regime today, Saturday, seized by outlaw groups, in the industrial city of Sweida.
The Suwayda Governorate Media Directorate stated in a special statement to SANA that the incident resulted from the explosion of a missile left over from the defunct regime, while trying to dismantle it in a workshop owned by a member of the National Guard militia.
The statement indicated that the explosion led to the death of five people, including the workshop owner and his son.
There are bodies whose identities have not been established due to the deformities they sustained, in addition to three injured persons.
It added that many appeals have reached the Sweida Media Directorate from the residents of the province in areas controlled by the National Guard militia, asking for the Syrian state to intervene and save them from the oppression and dominance of those militias.
This is the second incident recorded in less than a month of the explosion of a weapon seized by armed militias in Sweida from the warehouses of the ousted regime, causing deaths and injuries.
The suffering of the people of Sweida is increasing day by day due to the actions of outlaw groups, which use civilians as human shields, and use homes in populated residential neighborhoods as warehouses to store weapons.
