Damascus, Feb. 24 (SANA) – The Ministry of Economy and Industry discussed with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation potential areas of cooperation and financing mechanisms to support development pathways in Syria.
The talks focused on assessing opportunities for IFC support and building a practical cooperation framework aligned with national priorities, with the aim of boosting employment and productive activity.
The meeting comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to expand cooperation with international development institutions in support of Syria’s economic recovery.
The IFC is the world’s largest development institution dedicated to private-sector support in developing countries, focusing on financing sustainable, economically viable projects in line with environmental and social standards.
