Damascus, Feb. 19 (SANA) The new Syrian television channel Al-Souriya began broadcasting on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. local time, coinciding with the start of Ramadan.
Positioned as a family and community-focused channel, Al-Souriya will address social, economic and service-related issues, with programming designed to encourage audience participation.
Its visual identity features three flowing lines forming the map of Syria, symbolizing unity. Under the slogan “Syria Embraces All,” the channel presents itself as a national platform aimed at reflecting public concerns.
The Ramadan schedule includes religious, cultural, social and entertainment programs, including live iftar segments. The lineup also features ten new drama productions for the 2025–2026 season exploring both Damascene and contemporary themes.
Al-Souriya broadcasts via Nilesat on frequencies 11938 and 27500. The channel says it aims to connect Syrians at home and abroad.
