Syria launches partnership with Saudi “Elm” to boost digital transformation

Damascus, Feb. 14 (SANA) – The Syrian Ministry of Communications and Technology has launched the implementation phase of its partnership with Saudi digital solutions company “Elm,” aimed at developing Syria’s digital infrastructure and improving government e-services.

Minister Abdulsalam Haykal highlighted the partnership as part of the ministry’s focus on building digital industries, training Syrian talent, and strengthening cooperation on transferring technical expertise.

“Elm” CEO Mohammad Alomair underscored the company’s role in providing Syria with advanced digital solutions and supporting local workforce development.

Syrian General Investment Authority haild the partnership as part of the efforts to attract digital investment and enhance government services, drawing on “Elm’s” experience in e-government projects in Saudi Arabia.

“Elm” will host a technology event, “Elm Day,” on February 16, 2026, to present new digital projects and collaborations with Syrian government entities.
