Minister of Emergency and Idleb Governor inspect flood-damaged Khirbet al-Jouz camps

Idleb, Feb. 7 (SANA) Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh and Idleb Governor Mohammad Abdul Rahman conducted an inspection tour on Saturday of the camps affected by floods in Khirbet al-Jouz, in the Jisr al-Shughour countryside.

The visit aimed to assess the conditions of residents and review the extent of damage caused by heavy rainfall.

During the tour, al-Saleh reviewed the response operations carried out by Civil Defense teams to support residents in Khirbet al-Jouz camps. These included evacuation efforts, securing roads, and providing assistance to affected families, as well as monitoring the work of government support teams in the area.

Heavy rainfall in Idleb province triggered flash floods that swept away and submerged several tents near seasonal waterways in Khirbet Al-Jouz camps, west of the province. The situation necessitated urgent evacuation operations and the opening of schools and shelters to host displaced families and provide them with essential needs.
