Quneitra,  Feb. 3 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces advanced on Tuesday into several areas of Quneitra city and its northern countryside, according to a SANA correspondent in the province.

The correspondent said an Israeli force comprising four “Hummer” military vehicles entered the destroyed city of Quneitra, taking the road through Rasem al-Rawadi village toward Tal Kroum Jaba. The force then advanced into al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah village before withdrawing from the area.

A day earlier, Israeli occupation forces had advanced into the town of Jabata al-Khashab and the village of Ufania in the northern Quneitra countryside.

Israel continues its attacks and violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, as well as assaults on civilians, including raids, arrests and land bulldozing.

Syria has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, affirming that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus has also called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities, deter the occupation’s practices and compel Israel to withdraw fully from southern Syria.
