Damascus, Jan.25 (SANA) Minister of Defense, Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, hailed the enthusiasm and confidence demonstrated by residents and their sons in the eastern region toward the Syrian Arab Army.
In a post on the (X) platform on Sunday, General Abu Qasra stated: “We salute the enthusiasm and confidence shown by our people and sons in the eastern region toward the Syrian Arab Army, and we confirm that the Ministry of Defense has initiated taking the necessary measures to open recruitment and mobilization directorates in these areas, in a manner that ensures their operation in line with approved standards and reflects the disciplined nature of the Syrian Arab Army.”
Over the past few days, units of the Syrian Arab Army moved into dozens of towns and villages in the governorates of Raqqa, Deir Ezzor, and Hasakah, following the expulsion of “SDF” and PKK terrorist militias by local residents, who expressed their rejection of the groups’ practices and violations.
The army’s deployment has contributed to restoring security and stability in those areas, strengthening the presence of state institutions, and creating conditions for the return of basic services and normal life to villages and towns that had long suffered from chaos and restrictions.
