Quneitra, Oct. 24 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces advanced on Saturday to the al-Kassarat intersection near the town of Jbata al-Khashab in northern Quneitra countryside.

SANA’s correspondent in Quneitra reported that a force comprising several military vehicles advanced to the intersection, set up a military checkpoint and searched passersby.

Another Israeli occupation force advanced west of the village of Taranja in northern Quneitra countryside and detained three people before releasing them later.

Earlier on Friday, Israeli occupation forces detained a man while he was herding sheep during an incursion near the town of Hader in northern Quneitra countryside. They also shelled the outskirts of al-Hamidiyah in the northern countryside and Bir Ajam Forest in the southern countryside with several artillery rounds. No injuries were reported.

The Israeli occupation continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes and detentions, land leveling and shelling.

Syria continues to demand the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by the occupation are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. It also calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and compel Israel to withdraw fully from southern Syria.
