Raqqa, Jan. 20 (SANA) Syrian Minister of Information Hamza al-Mustafa and Raqqa Governor Abdul Rahman Salama conducted a field tour of the city of Raqqa on Tuesday, focusing on evaluating service delivery and humanitarian conditions following liberation from SDF.
Minister al-Mustafa and Governor Salama made a briefing and described recent agreements between the Syrian state and SDF as “foundations for comprehensive stability, paving the way for reconstruction.” He emphasized that restoring normal life in Raqqa is a challenging task requiring coordinated efforts among ministries, government institutions, and the local community. He noted that the SDF armed presence had left the city’s residents in difficult living conditions.
Governor Salama explained that delays in resuming official duties were due to the exceptional circumstances Raqqa had faced, highlighting that immediate priorities include addressing urgent service files. He announced that a comprehensive action plan would be unveiled soon.
The Syrian Arab Army recently deployed across Raqqa to secure the province after expelling PKK-affiliated terrorists, facilitating the return of state institutions and the imposition of government authority.
Minister al-Mustafa and Governor Salama also joined residents in city-wide celebrations marking liberation and the return of governmental oversight.
