Damascus, Jan.19 (SANA) Interior Minister Anas Khattab affirmed that the agreement between the Syrian state and the SDF represents a new step toward a united Syria, its people, land, and resources, ushering in a phase of construction, prosperity, and the preservation of security and stability.
“This qualitative shift in the Syrian scene places upon us a major additional responsibility at all levels, foremost the security aspect, to stand firmly against the great challenge of safeguarding the region’s security and protecting its people from reckless hands,” the minister stated on the X platform.
He added: “All salutations to our armed forces, whose heroism paved the way for this historic achievement. Mercy to the souls of our noble martyrs, the first guardians of Syria’s territorial unity. With their blood, Syria blossoms in security today, and through their sacrifices we embark on the path of giving.”
The minister called on all Interior Ministry personnel to treat everyone with respect, to serve the people across all provinces, to safeguard their comfort and security, and to act as the unseen soldiers who work tirelessly day and night to keep Syria safe and secure.
Minister Khattab concluded: “We congratulate all Syrians, and especially our people in the east, Arabs, Kurds, and all communities, on this great achievement. We stress the need to stand united in the journey of reconstruction and stability, for security is everyone’s responsibility.”
President Ahmad al -Sharaa signed the ceasefire agreement and the full integration of the SDF into Syrian state institutions.
