Damascus, Jan. 17 (SANA) Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin al-Saleh stressed that Syrian culture, based on the principle of historical partnership, is nothing other than the product of the narrative of civilizations that succeeded one another on Syrian soil and flourished there.
Al-Saleh posted on (X) on Friday that President Ahmad al-Sharaa, through the decree issued today, reaffirmed his commitment to a united Syria, land and people, by granting Kurdish citizens the rights that had been taken from them by the deposed Baath regime.
The minister stressed that Syrian Kurds have always been, and will continue to be, greater than to be reduced to a political whim or bound by an ideological agenda. They are people of land, language, civilization, and culture, with historical achievements attested by time.
