Three shelters opened in Manbij ahead of Syrian Army operations in Deir Hafer

Aleppo, Jan. 15 (SANA) Local authorities in Manbij, in the northeastern Aleppo countryside, announced on Thursday the opening of three centers to shelter residents evacuating via a humanitarian corridor from Deir Hafer and Maskanah, ahead of an upcoming Syrian Army operation to liberate the areas of SDF organization control.

According to a statement posted on the city’s official Telegram channel, the centers are located at al-Fateh Mosque, the Industrial school, and al-Shariah. They are intended to provide safe shelter and basic services to residents during the military operations.

The Syrian Army’s Operations Command had earlier announced the opening of a humanitarian corridor through the village of Hmaymeh along the main M15 road connecting Deir Hafer and Aleppo, operating from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Civilians were urged to stay away from all SDF organization and the PKK terrorist militia’s positions, which were marked and publicized through Syrian news outlets.

However, the SDF organization continues to prevent civilians from leaving Deir Hafer city in eastern Aleppo, despite the humanitarian corridor announced by the army.
