Quneitra, Jan.14 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces advanced on Wednesday into the town of Bir Ajam and the village of Bariqa in the southern countryside of Quneitra Governorate, southwest Syria, according to a SANA reporter on the ground.
The reporter said an Israeli unit consisting of two vehicles—a Hilux and a Humvee—entered from the Bir Ajam access point toward Bariqa, stopped near the Kabas well for about 10 minutes, and then withdrew from the area.
Israel continues to carry out attacks and violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions in southern Syria, as well as raids, arbitrary arrests, forced displacement, and land leveling affecting civilians.
Damascus has repeatedly demanded the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Syrian territory, stressing that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. Syria has called on the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter these practices, and compel a full withdrawal from southern Syria.
