Aleppo, Jan 10 (SANA) The Operations Command of the Syrian Arab Army announced a halt to all military operations inside Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo starting at 3:00 p.m. local time.
The Command also said in a statement that SDF militants who are entrenched in Yassin Hospital in the neighborhood will be transferred to the city of al-Tabqa, northeastern Syria, and their weapons will be confiscated.
The statement added that the Army would begin handing over health and government facilities in the neighborhood to state institutions and would gradually withdraw its forces from the streets of Sheikh Maqsoud.
The move came after the Army announced the end of a sweeping operation to clear Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of mines and remnants of SDF organization.
