Aleppo, Jan.10 (SANA) The Operations Command of the Syrian Arab Army announced that the only option left for the armed elements in the Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood is to immediately surrender themselves and their weapons to the nearest military point, in exchange for guaranteeing their lives and personal safety.
Syrian Arab Army has begun its missions to extend national sovereignty, and it will deal firmly and destroy any source of fire in order to ensure the security and stability of the area and to protect civilians, the command pointed out in a statement.
The Army had completed clearing more than 90% of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, dismantled dozens of mines in the neighborhood’s streets, and is working to arrange the entry of internal security forces as soon as the clearing operations are completed.
