Border Guards arrest 5 for illegal entry into Syria

Damascus, Dec. 28 (SANA) Border Guard forces of the Syrian Arab Army arrested five people in rural Tartous while attempting to enter Syrian territory illegally.

The Department of Media and Communication at the Ministry of Defense told SANA that initial investigations revealed some of those arrested were members of the defunct regime, noting that they will be referred to the competent authorities to complete investigations and necessary legal procedures.

This operation comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the Syrian Arab Army to safeguard the borders and prevent any illegal infiltration attempts, thereby ensuring the security of the nation and the integrity of its territory.
