Homs,12. Dec (SANA) The Homs Directorate of Wounded Affairs, in cooperation with Sabeel al Rashad Center, honored on Friday fifty wounded soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army in recognition of their sacrifices in defending the homeland.

The ceremony was held at the directorate’s headquarters with the attendance of Homs Mufti Sheikh Sahl Junaid, along with a large gathering of wounded personnel and their families.

Yahya Attallah al Zuabi, Director of Wounded Affairs, stated to SANA that this tribute reaffirms the directorate’s support for the wounded and its appreciation for their significant role in achieving victory. He affirmed the directorate’s ongoing commitment to organizing supportive activities that help the wounded regain their place and boost their role within society.

For their part, the honored wounded expressed gratitude for this initiative, which they described as carrying great symbolic value. Rashid Maftah noted that the tribute acknowledges the significance of their sacrifices over the years and contributes to boosting their morale.

Wounded soldier Ali al Mohimeed stressed that such initiatives reflect the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to its responsibilities toward the wounded, praising the ministry’s efforts to enhance their social empowerment and enable them to contribute effectively within state institutions.
