Nationwide celebrations in Syria marking the first Liberation Day anniversary

Damascus, Dec.9 (SANA) Syrians marked the first anniversary of Liberation Day on Monday with large public gatherings across several provinces. Crowds filled central squares from early morning until late in the evening, with participants carrying national flags and voicing support for the country’s unity.

The celebrations included military displays, paragliding demonstrations, and musical performances. Participants waved flags and chanted patriotic songs, emphasizing themes of national sovereignty and honoring those killed in the conflict. Fireworks lit up the night sky, launched from cities’ squares and surrounding buildings.

The day’s events also featured traditional dance performances, additional military parades, and revolutionary-themed musical segments. The festivities reflected national cohesion and a continued commitment to reconstruction efforts.
