Aleppo, Dec. 3 (SANA) Syria’s Interior Ministry forces have dismantled a drug-trafficking network in Aleppo, seizing more than 31,000 Captagon pills and a quantity of crystal meth.

According to Aleppo police, Anti-Narcotics units arrested the group’s leader, identified by initials “H.E.,” along with four associates after a surveillance operation. Police said they confiscated roughly 31,000 Captagon tablets, about 500 grams of crystal meth, and additional liquid forms of the drug.
Police added that the suspects will be referred to judicial authorities as part of ongoing efforts to curb narcotics trafficking and use in the country.
The announcement comes a day after anti-narcotics units in Damascus dismantled another drug-trafficking ring, arresting its alleged ringleader and nine associates.
