Latakia, SANA-The Internal Security Command in Latakia has arrested Hussein Kalla Shukr, a former regime member accused of involvement in war crimes.
According to the Interior Ministry’s Telegram channel, Shukr was captured after a citizen reported his location. Investigations revealed his participation in mutilating the bodies of martyrs while serving in militias linked to the former regime. Following liberation, he reportedly formed a gang engaged in drug trafficking and theft of public property.
The ministry confirmed that Shukr has been referred to the Counterterrorism Directorate for further investigation before being brought to justice, as part of ongoing efforts to pursue and prosecute war criminals.
