European Council President Welcomes Ceasefire Agreement in Sweida

Brussels, SANA- President of the European Council António Costa welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Sweida, calling on all parties to fulfill their obligations in this regard.

“We are closely following the latest developments in Syria”, Costa tweeted on “X’, and added that the Syrian government is responsible for protecting all citizens from all sects and groups.

The EU official expressed Wednesday his concern over the Israeli aggression on Damascus, stressing the need to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
