Damascus, SANA- Deputy Minister of Education for Educational Affairs Youssef Annan discussed on Sunday, with the head of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Syria, Tanja Lohmann and her accompanying delegation, the state of vocational and technical education in Syria and mechanisms for its development.
During the meeting, Annan highlighted the Ministry’s interest in developing vocational education and the importance of cooperation and the exchange of technical expertise with the German government and the (GIZ) agency, which would contribute to the development of vocational and technical education in Syria.
“ The purpose of the meeting was to determine the ministry’s priorities for the coming period regarding this education and mechanisms for its development, through a partnership between German and Syrian expertise and an exchange of views”, Tanja said, pointing to the support provided by the German government to vocational and technical education in Syria.
