New York – SANA / UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen reiterated the need to immediately halt Israel’s provocative violations against Syria.
Pederson said in a post on his X account: “Stability and civil peace must prevail in Syria, and retaliatory actions must be avoided. Israel’s provocative violations must stop immediately, and the priority must be a credible, orderly, and comprehensive political transition in Syria.”
Pederson noted that he spoke last night with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Sheibani, urging all parties restraint and the protection of all components of the Syrian people.
