Erdogan: Israel seeks to hinder stability in Syria

Anatolia, SANA- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed that Israel seeks to undermine stability in Syria, reiterating his country’s support for Damascus.

“Israel continues its provocations and does not seek stability in the region. It believes that if Syria is unified that will not be in Israel’s interest, it is necessary to explain clearly to the world that Israel hinders the stability process in Syria” Anadolu Agency quoted Erdogan as saying to reporters on the plane returning from Cyprus.

President Erdogan stressed that President Ahmad al-Sharaa had taken a firm stance on the recent events in his country and had not made any concessions.

Regarding the issue of Syrian refugees, the Turkish President reiterated that Turkey will provide all forms of support to accelerate their voluntary return.
