Amman, April 12 (SANA) – Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi reaffirmed Sunday his country’s support for Syria, stressing that Syria’s success represents success for Jordan and the region.
In a post on the platform X, Safadi said: “Jordan will always stand by our brothers in Syria, and we support them fully in their path toward reconstruction.”
He added that Jordan values the ongoing development in relations between the two countries, referring to the ministerial meeting of the Syrian-Jordanian Higher Coordination Council held Sunday in Amman.
Safadi said the meeting reflected the depth of fraternal ties and the determination of both countries to build comprehensive and integrated strategic cooperation between Damascus and Amman, highlighting a clear vision for advancing bilateral relations.
Earlier Sunday, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and Safadi said the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed at the conclusion of the meeting would mark a new phase in building integrated strategic relations between Syria and Jordan.
They added that the current session of the Higher Coordination Council represented a genuine working platform aimed at transforming Syrian-Jordanian relations into a model of Arab regional partnership.
