Manama, SANA – The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the announcement by the government in the Syrian Arab Republic of a ceasefire in the southern province of Sweida.
In a statement quoted by Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that such announcement contributes to enhancing security and stability and maintaining civil peace.
The ministry reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm position in support of Syria’s security and stability, preserving its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and meeting the aspirations of its brotherly people towards peace and sustainable development.
