Ankara, SANA-Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the “heinous terrorist attack” that targeted Mar Elias Church in Damascus, affirming his country’s support for the Syrian people and government.
In a post on Twitter, Erdogan said: “I condemn the heinous terrorist attack on a church in Damascus, and I offer my condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Syria.”
He added : ” We will not allow Syria to be dragged back into an unstable environment by terrorist organizations affiliated with others, and we will continue to support the Syrian government in its efforts to combat terrorism.”
The Turkish president affirmed that his country stands with the Syrian people and government in confronting “this despicable terrorist act that targets Syria’s security, safety, internal harmony, the culture of coexistence, and the stability of the region.”
