Paris, SANA-The French Foreign Ministry condemned “in the strongest terms” the heinous terrorist attack that targeted Mar Elias Church in Damascus.
“France offers its condolences to the families of the victims, wishes a speedy recovery to the injured, and expresses its full solidarity with the Syrian people, who hope that Syria will return to the path of peace.” In a statement published on its website Sunday, the ministry said.
The ministry affirmed “France’s commitment to supporting the transitional phase in Syria to enable Syrians, regardless of their beliefs, to live in peace and security in a free, unified, and sovereign Syria.”
It reiterated its support for the Syrian government in its fight against the terrorist organization ISIS and its readiness to provide any necessary support in this regard.
