The two sides also reviewed an integrated project to revitalize the Old City of Aleppo, which includes the restoration of archaeological sites, clearing them of war remnants, and developing educational and training programs for youth and teachers, with the aim of building a Syrian society capable of reviving itself.

Minister al-Saleh stressed the importance of cooperation in rehabilitating schools and destroyed archaeological sites, removing war remnants from them, and supporting national efforts to preserve Syria’s cultural identity, especially in Aleppo, which is listed on the World Heritage List.

The delegation explained that the organization has established a special unit for crisis response, and that the ministry serves as a focal point for coordination with other ministries as part of a comprehensive recovery strategy.

It said that that this meeting paves the way for effective cooperation in preserving Syrian memory, promoting education as a means of peace, and achieving sustainable development that takes into account the cultural and humanitarian dimensions.
