Jordan strongly condemns Israeli forces incursion and bombing of Koya town in Daraa

Amman – SANA The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday strongly condemned the incursion of Israeli forces and their bombing of Koya town in western Daraa, which resulted in the martyrdom of several individuals and injuries to numerous civilians.

According to the Ammon News Agency, the Ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufian Qudah, stated that the Israeli bombardment constitutes a blatant violation of international law, a flagrant breach of Syria’s sovereignty and unity, and a dangerous escalation that will only exacerbate conflict and fuel tension in the region.

Qudah emphasized Jordan’s absolute rejection and denunciation of Israel’s continued aggressions against the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, which clearly violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. He warned of the dire consequences of escalating tensions in the region.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with the brotherly country of Syria in preserving its security, stability, and sovereignty.

On the 17th of this month, three citizens were martyred and others sustained varying injuries due to airstrikes by Israeli forces near the city of Daraa.
