Baghdad, SANA-The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah al-Numan, announced that the security team has begun pursuing the perpetrators of the attacks on Syrians in Iraq.

“Immediately after the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, instructed the formation of a security team to pursue those who committed the dishonest acts of violence against several of our Syrian brothers working in Iraq, the team began its action against the masked groups,” the Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted al-Numan,as saying.

“All nationalities working in Iraq are protected by the Iraqi State,” he said, adding that “Iraq is their second home.”.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates earlier today condemned the attacks against Syrian citizens in Iraq, calling them “a violation of human rights and international law.”.
