Foreign Ministers participating in Syria's Neighboring Countries Meeting affirm support for Its security and stability

Amman, SANA-The foreign ministers of the countries participating in the Syria’s Neighboring Countries meeting, which was held today in the Jordanian capital Amman, affirmed their countries’ support for Syria’s security and stability, calling for lifting sanctions on it.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said during a joint press conference: “We affirmed together that Syria’s security and stability is security and stability for all of us,” adding: “Strikes on the stability of one of our countries are strikes on the stability of all countries in the region.”

“Our meeting aims to support our brothers in Syria for stability, construction, and combating terrorism.” He added.

Safadi stressed that “the neighboring countries demand the lifting of sanctions on Syria and cooperation with it economically and in investment to contribute to its reconstruction,”.

For his part, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed his support for the new government’s activities in Syria aimed at achieving stability.

Fidan said: “We are determined to help the new government in Syria in all aspects, and support all its activities aimed at achieving stability.”

The Turkish Foreign Minister stressed his rejection of Israeli expansionist measures in the region and Syrian territories.

In turn, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of stability in Syria for the countries of the region, indicating that Syria’s security is reflected in neighboring countries and that Iraq’s stability stems from Syria’s stability.

In turn, Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Raji stressed that Syria’s stability is important for Lebanon’s stability, and said: “The meeting of Syria’s neighboring countries discussed drawing borders, preventing drug and weapons smuggling, and combating terrorism.”.
