Damascus Chamber of Industry discusses with Pakistan ways of strengthening and developi

Damascus, SANA- Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Damascus Chamber of Industry and its Countryside, discussed with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Mr. Umer Hayat Khan, ways to enhance and develop bilateral economic and trade relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting tackled areas of industrial and commercial cooperation and the possibility of establishing partnerships and joint investments between the two countries, and the exchange of experiences and visits between businessmen in both countries.

Hayat Khan stressed the necessity of overcoming the difficulties that faced improving cooperation between the two countries during the past period, the most prominent of which were the economic sanctions imposed on Syria, noting that trade relations will witness a significant improvement in light of the great openness that Damascus is witnessing after the lifting of the previously imposed sanctions.

In turn, head of Damascus and Rural Damascus Chamber of Industry, Eng. Muhammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, pointed out the importance of establishing partnerships and joint investments between the two countries, and exchanging experiences and visits between businessmen in both countries, noting the noble positions of Pakistan and its support for free Syria after its liberation from the unjust and defunct regime.
