Malaysia: Signs of peace in Syria offer a glimmer of hope for the entire Islamic nation

Manama, SANA-Malaysia stressed that the emerging signs of reconciliation and peace-building in Syria offer not only hope to the Syrian people, but also present opportunities for the entire Islamic Nation.

In his speech during Islamic Dialogue Conference that kicked off Wednesday in Manama, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said “Syria has the potential to become a model of peace and reconciliation that transcends political and sectarian divisions”.

Ibrahim underlined the importance of Islamic countries providing assistance to both Syria and Palestine, and taking serious measures to support both of them.
