Catholicos Aram I Keshishian congratulates President Ahmad al-Sharaa on assuming presidency

Beirut, SANA- Catholicos Aram I Keshishian, the Catholicos of All Armenians of the Great House of Cilicia, congratulated President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Ahmad Al-Sharaa, on assuming the presidency.

In a congratulatory cable sent on his behalf and on behalf of the Armenian community in Syria, Catholicos Aram I said “The Syrian people, of all sects, have endured countless difficulties and hardships. They have, however, borne them with patience and hope that justice and equality will prevail in the country, and that the rights of all Syrians will be respected equally without discrimination.”

Catholicos Aram I hoped that a new chapter of prosperity will open in Syria’s history, thanks to President al-Sharaa’s wise leadership, and wished him success in his duties.
