Minsk, SANA- Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov affirmed his country’s support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
The Belarusian News Agency quoted the Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement that Ryzhenkov who is visiting Damascus discussed in detail with the Leader of the New Syrian Administration Ahmad al-Sharaa the international situation and regional conflicts, emphasizing the common interest in their early settlement.
The minister emphasized that “Belarus advocates for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria within the internationally recognized borders of the country.”
Ryzhenkov underlined the readiness to support the Syrian side in its work in the international organizations to protect these principles and to lift the sanctions.
The ministry said that Belarus will provide 50 MAZ buses as a gift to the Syrian people from the president and people of Belarus. They will be produced and delivered to Syria within the next three months.
