Senator Risch stated in a post on platform X Friday that he is working with his colleagues in the Senate and President Donald Trump to repeal the Caesar Act sanctions, “so that Syria can become a safe and prosperous partner for the United States.”
Yesterday, the UN Security Council voted in favor of a U.S.-sponsored resolution to remove President Ahmad al-Sharaa from the international sanctions list. The resolution also included the removal of Interior Minister Anas Khattab from the same list.
