UAE welcomes ceasefire in Sweida and condemns Israeli escalation in Syria

Abu Dhabi, SANA-The UAE welcomed the ceasefire announcement in the southern Syrian province of Sweida, stressing the importance of calm, protecting civilians, and supporting efforts to restore security and stability to the region.

Emirates News Agency (WAM) quoted the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying in a statement, the UAE strongly condemned the dangerous escalation in southern Syria, and strongly denounced the Israeli raids on the region, stressing its complete rejection of the violation of Syria’s sovereignty and the threat to its security and stability.

The UAE Foreign Ministry reiterated the UAE’s firm position towards supporting Syria’s stability and sovereignty over all its territories, standing by the brotherly Syrian people, and supporting all efforts aimed at achieving their aspirations for security, peace, a dignified life, peaceful coexistence, and development.
