Doha, SANA- Syrian men’s basketball team continues its preparations to meet the UAE and Bahraini teams on Friday and Monday in the Qatari capital, Doha, within the third leg of the Asian qualifiers.
Our national team conducted an intensive series of training sessions during the outdoor camp in Qatar, with the aim of enhancing technical and physical readiness, as well as it played two friendly matches with Al- Rayyan of Qatar and winning 76-74 points, and with Al-Gharafa of Qatar and winning 86-63 points.
Our national team is in third place with five points in its group in the qualifiers, while the Bahraini team is in second place with 6 points and Lebanon is in first place with 8 points.
The first and second six-group finalists qualify for the Asian finals at the close of the qualifiers, and the third-place finalists will play a six-team supplement, four of which qualify for the finals.
