Luanda, Sept. 19 (SANA) Syrian mixed martial arts national team athlete Hamza al-Hajj Ali won the gold medal at the Mixed Martial Arts World Cup held in the Angolan capital, Luanda.
According to the Ministry of Sports and Youth, which announced the achievement on its official Facebook page on Friday, al-Hajj Ali claimed gold in the youth middleweight category after defeating Angolan fighter Kalimba Kitoko in the final, ending the bout in the third round.
The tournament is organized by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), with the participation of national teams from 19 countries, and will continue until September 20.
