Amsterdam, Aug. 30 (SANA) Syrian rower Devi Kailasa finished 25th at the 2026 World Rowing Championships at the historic Bosbaan course in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The championships, held from August 24 to 30, brought together more than 1,200 elite and para-rowers from over 60 countries.
Kailasa’s participation marks a notable Syrian presence at a world championship of this level in rowing and reflects Syria’s representation on the international sporting stage.
Kailasa, who is of Syrian origin, chose to represent Syria in international competition, reflecting her connection to her roots and commitment to continuing her sporting career under the Syrian flag.
Her next major goal is to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
